When can you visit Istana Singapore?

For Singaporean/PR, the entrance is free while $2 for foreigners. When you enter Istana, you see just a wide huge field with a small lake on the left. You have to walk a bit to see a building. If you need a guided tour, there is another fee imposed. Please visit: istana website for more info.

I manage to capture you the main entrance. Grand chandelier light with air conditioner. There is lift to second floor but is not open to be use. We are not allow to go up too.
There is a big "playground". The swing and slide are portable plastic type. It does not suitable for big kids. For adult, bringing a mat to relax there is definitely a nice evening things to do.
Upon entering Istana, there will be a screen check before you can enter the Istana. So, do not bring any harmful items. After a long brisk walk and I reach the main building. This is definitely not free, for Singapore/PR, $2 per pax and $4 for foreigner.
What's inside? You can see where dining and meeting hosted place. It also contains special and grand gifts to Singapore. No photo inside.
Istana plants a lot special trees and plants. These is the two I like.

Besides visiting, there is booth selling souvenirs, drinks and events.
When can you visit Istana?
The Istana is open to the public in celebration of Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya Puasa, Labour Day and National Day. See the following dates in 2016:
