🇭🇰 Ocean Park: Is It Still a Must-Visit Destination?

Ocean Park in Hong Kong is a vibrant and thrilling theme park that stands tall as an exhilarating alternative to Disney Land. I found myself immersed in an unforgettable experience on my first visit, particularly captivated by the Marine World. Therefore, I would wanted to bring my kids and parent here again.

The park's allure lies not only in its sheer size and variety of attractions but also in its seamless integration of entertainment, education, and conservation. As an enthusiast of marine life, the Marine World segment left an indelible mark on me. The exhibits showcased a breathtaking array of aquatic wonders, from vibrant fish species to majestic marine mammals. The opportunity to witness these creatures up close was truly mesmerizing and educational.

Despite showing signs of wear and tear, Ocean Park continues to serve its primary purpose: captivating children with its mesmerizing Marine World. If you want to have rides at Ocean Park, probably you would want to have a second thought for it.

Apart from the Marine World, Ocean Park offers an extensive range of attractions, including thrilling rides, captivating shows, and interactive experiences suitable for visitors of all ages. The seamless blend of entertainment and education ensures that every moment spent in the park is both enjoyable and enriching.

Entrance

You can either purchase your ticket online or walk-in to purchase. Queue is short compare to Ngongping and Disneyland.

There is direct train reaching the entrance of Ocean Park.

Upon entering the park, a prominent display catches your eye: the comprehensive Daily Schedule showcasing the various shows and feeding times. This helpful guide ensures you don't miss any of the exciting attractions throughout the day.

As you make your way, the delightful tunes of a live band greet you at the entrance of Penguin Park. The vibrant melodies create an inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for an enjoyable and entertaining visit.

Daily Schedule

Our journey at the park commenced at the captivating Marine World, a stunning showcase of the diverse ecosystem thriving beneath the ocean's surface. This immersive experience took us through the various layers of the marine world, offering a glimpse into the intricate life forms dwelling at different depths.

As we traversed through the exhibit, we encountered a multitude of sea creatures, each residing in its designated section according to the depth they inhabit. The fascinating array of marine life included majestic sharks, whose presence exuded both awe and reverence.

Marine world Park

Everything in the Marine World park was fascinating and is different from my previous visit. The Marine World is still big with lesser species.

The shark when you can watch closely from the lower deck but a bit run down.

If you go at the right time, you will be able to watch seagull feeding.

Observing the dolphins gracefully transition from the ground to the water is an utterly captivating sight. Their swift movements create a mesmerizing display, leaving a lasting impression of their elegance and agility.

Panda

You can see Panda in Ocean park also but they have moved them to a new habitat instead of this.

There are two transportation connected between these two parks Summit Park and Waterfront Park. You can either take Cable car or this connected tram. I would suggest go for this tram.

Cable Car

This is the cable car connected between two parks. It is smaller than the ngongping cable car and not as swiftly as ngongping.

Queue was long when we took cable car from Waterfront back to summit.

The night brought a gust of wind, enveloping the surroundings in an eerie silence. The atmosphere felt unsettling, casting a slightly spooky vibe over the area, making it unsettling to navigate in the darkness.

Theme Park

Although the theme park is not as crowded as Disneyland but still need to queue with less enjoyable waiting experience compare with Disneyland. I would say it resemble Fun Fair.

The park boasts a considerable variety of rides, including bumper cars and other thrilling attractions. However, it's worth noting that the selection for kids under 100cm might be somewhat limited.

Theme park is colourful from floor to roof. You can capture a nice cathing photo there.r

The swinging ride at the park offers an exhilarating experience, lifting you high into the air while providing a thrilling pendulum-like swing motion. The sensation of soaring through the sky coupled with the pendulum's rhythmic movement creates an adrenaline-pumping adventure that's both exciting and memorable. It is not suitable for elderly or young kids.

Hong Kong Street

There's a charming Hong Kong street decoration set up, perfect for snapping some great photos. The elaborate decor creates a picturesque backdrop, inviting visitors to capture memorable moments against the vibrant and culturally rich street scenes.

If you're seeking an immersive experience in the marine world, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place. However, if you're more inclined towards thrilling rides, this might not be the ideal destination for that aspect of entertainment.
